Anyone who grew up in the Rochester area has probably heard about the mushroom house. I remember getting a tour of it as a young child. These photos aren’t doctored. They actually did built a set of giant mushrooms making up a house in Perinton, NY. So if you’ve ever had an overwhelming desire to live inside a giant mushroom, now is your chance! As of this posting the mushroom house is for sale. The price? A cool $995,000. My guess is they knocked $5,000 off the price to buy Hobbit repellent.
