Don’t miss your chance to be a part of Eggwork’s first feature length documentary: Bowie Goes To Jail – the true life story behind the infamous mug shot.

Do you have a David Bowie/Rochester story to tell? Tell it at our StoryCorps-style pop up interview station from 10am to 5pm. Walk-ins welcome but if you want to make an appointment please email info@bowiegoestojail.com. We’re also looking for photos and home movies from the mid-1970s.

And if you, or someone you know, has memorabilia stashed away somewhere we’d love to see it!

Bowieoke 2: Birthday Boogaloo

Friday, January 8, 2016 at 9:30pm Abilene Bar and Lounge (153 Liberty Pole Way) – Celebrate the 69th birthday of Mr. David Bowie as we invite willing participants on stage for Bowieoke (David Bowie Karaoke) to honor the man, the myth, the legend. The upstairs lounge will feature short films by Matthew Ehlers as well as an assortment of shorts and Vine videos by Nicholas Gurewitch (The Perry Bible Fellowship). Films include: Five Years – A musical montage of 70’s Rochester and Bowie Goes To Jail: The Musical.

There’s no cover for Bowieoke. Donations accepted upstairs for the films & complimentary food. A production of Eggwork & Tin Man Events with help from our friends at Abilene Bar and Lounge, Sticky Lips Pit BBQ on Culver Road, Record Archive and Iron Smoke Whiskey.

Driving Around Rochester With Rick

Driving Around Rochester With Rick was created to support the Rick McKee Hock annual artist residency at Visual Studies Workshop. The 5–minute tour of the city was edited from material produced by Lauren Bon and Metabolic Studio during a trip to Rochester, NY in 2013.
